Illuminated bases are usually custom made for specific sculptures, but there are some standard models. They are made from solid walnut, mahogany, cherry, oak, or black satin. Colored accent illumination is available for highlighting multicolored glass sculptures. The illumination is bright (greater than 1500 fc) yet cool and has an expected lifetime of 100,000 hours.
